Work
Experience
IT Security Intern
AutoZone, Inc.

June 2016 - December 2018

One of my main responsibilities as an IT security intern was to monitor, detect, and investigate potential cyber threats based on events generated from AutoZone’s SIEM(System Information and Event Management) system. I was also tasked with extracting & processing DNS records of AutoZone’s network hosts. By using Nexpose’s and BlueCat’s API with python, my code gave a good perspective of AutoZone’s network topology. Additionally, I also presented to management a blueprint of implementing machine learning into AutoZone cyber security defenses. Besides monitoring the network and my personal projects, I also worked with my teammates and people from other security teams to cope with various security threats.
